S is for Staircase

"Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole STAIRCASE, just take the first step." ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

This is another quote that was a mantra for me when I started this blog and my writing journey. After four + years I still can't see the whole staircase, but I'm excited to imagine what I might find at the top.

  1. Great quote. I think we would be too intimidated if we saw how many steps we have to climb!

  2. Yeah, if we could see the top, we'd probably never climb it.

  8. That's so true! We may not be able to see the whole staircase and that can be scary, but we'll never get anywhere if we don't take the first step.

  12. This is pertinent to so many areas of life - taking the whole staircase is usually too much for people to deal with.

  13. Great quote! I'm never able to see the whole staircase, either. That often scares me, though, to be honest, since I tend to expect nothing good at the end of it, LOL.

  14. I have never heard of this quote but I know the one about it has to start with the first step. It's so true too

  15. Another wonderful quote.

I have a THING for staircases. I just love them, especially ones that are set in nature as well as in marvelous grand architectural gems.

I agree, it's always a thrill to think at what spectacular view is waiting at the top...
