First up, Annalisa and her cover for That Sadie Thing:
This
collection brings together prize-winning and published stories from the past
twenty years: the ‘greatest hits’.
That Sadie Thing and other stories will be available on
Kindle from Monday 25th February 2013.
Annalisa Crawford lives and writes in Cornwall with a good supply of beaches and moorland to keep her inspired. She finds endless possibilities in the relationships between people. As this collection testifies, she has been writing for twenty years - but doesn't feel a day over twenty-one.
Find her on her blog, Twitter, Facebook and Goodreads.
Up next, the Ninja Captain himself, Alex J. Cavanaugh, and the cover for CassaStorm:
CassaStorm by
Alex J. Cavanaugh
A storm gathers
across the galaxy…
Byron thought
he’d put the days of battle behind him. Commanding the Cassan base on Tgren, his
only struggles are occasional rogue pirate raids and endless government
bureaucracies. As a galaxy-wide war encroaches upon the desert planet, Byron’s
ideal life is threatened and he’s caught between the Tgrens and the
Cassans.
After enemy
ships attack the desert planet, Byron discovers another battle within his own
family. The declaration of war between all ten races triggers nightmares in his
son, shaking Bassan to the core and threatening to destroy the boy’s
mind.
Meanwhile the
ancient alien ship is transmitting a code that might signal the end of all life
in the galaxy. And the mysterious probe that almost destroyed Tgren twenty years
ago could be on its way back. As his world begins to crumble, Byron suspects a
connection. The storm is about to break, and Byron is caught in the
middle…

Huge congratulations again to Alex and Annalisa! I think both of these covers are fantastic, and both books are going right to my TBR list.
The end of the week also brings another edition of the Celebrate the Small Things Bloghop, hosted by Vikki at Scribblings of an Aspiring Author.
This week was an easy one for me, as I am celebrating the fact that I have internet at home again! As of yesterday, I got my modem from the new service provider installed and so far, so good. Everything seems to be working fine and I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that this is the end of that whole mess.
Hope everyone had lots to celebrate this week. Happy weekend! :)

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Annalisa on the haunting cover.
And thanks so much for revealing my cover today!
Yes, you definitely need the internet and it does seem like a small thing, until you don't have it.
ReplyDeleteThose covers look awesome, as well.
Congrats to the writers' on their cover reveals. AND so happy to hear that your internet seems to be up and running. How frustrating that can be!! Have a great weekend, Julie. And oh, BTW, if I haven't mentioned it before, I love your blog's new look! Very professional. I guess I'll have to change mine one of these days....maybe after my memoir gets printed! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat covers-- both of them. Congrats to Annalisa and Alex.

ReplyDeleteCongrats to Alex and Annalisa. Both covers rock!
Are you reading your book to your dog? I think he wants you too, especially the part about kibbles...
Love the covers!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo for having internet again, I would not be a happy camper if I didn't have it, not at all lol
Congrats on your small things. Of course, they internet access is fairly big if you're a blogger, which you are!
ReplyDeleteGreat books - can't wait!!
ReplyDeleteUgh, I hear you on the internet thing. We literally live in the middle of nowhere and there are days I can't get it at all. Very frustrating!
ReplyDeleteYeh on having the Internet back up and running! The one good thing - I would think - about not having the Internet so handy is that it forces you to not be distracted. :)
ReplyDelete@Alex, my pleasure, congratulations again!
ReplyDelete@Mark, I agree, the covers are great.
@Becky, oh, thanks!! I hope you will have a great weekend too.
@Julie, agreed!
@shelly, thanks!
@Laura, LOL, no, my dog won't listen to me reading my book LOL. When I took his picture with it he ran away the second the flash went off. He is the most impatient dog on earth LOL.
@SK, yeah, I've been very grumpy this week, I admit.
@Lee, true enough! It really was driving me nuts.
@Bonnie, I agree!
@Jen, oh, that would be annoying as can be. :(
@Madeline, LOL, true, but then I just got distracted by the tv LOL. I am hopeless.
Internet is awesome! Mine was down for most of Wednesday and that was tough. I'm glad yours is working again!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend! :-)
Yay for your Internet working again!

The cover for That Sadie Thing is so awesomely creepy and evocative!
ReplyDeleteAlso, hurray for internet access! I had to switch providers last year, too. (The old one pretty much kept me from using the internet for months--what a pain!)
Been seeing both covers all day. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteAnd I just got my new internet today. So far so good...

ReplyDeleteYes, being without internet can be a blessing and a curse -- but definitely having the choice, a blessing!
Internet is a good thing to celebrate ! It connects us after all ;)
