Here we are at another Friday, which means it's once again time for another Celebrate the Small Things hop. This fun weekly hop is hosted by my buddy Lexa Cain and co-hosted by L.G Keltner at Writing Off the Edge, Tonja Drecker at Kidbits, and Katie at The Cyborg Mom. Visit Lexa's blog here to find out how join in the hop yourself and to see the list of participants.
There wasn't much going on here this week, but I'm celebrating that I have a three day weekend ahead. The college where I work is closed today so I am off for three days. Always something to celebrate, right?
I'm also celebrating the return of The Walking Dead! I love this show and was so anxious for it to return for the second half of its 6th season. The premiere episode didn't disappoint! It was shocking and scary and so tense I thought I would have a heart attack more than once. In other words, it was everything I love about TWD. My Sunday nights are once again complete. :D
Finally, I'm celebrating that I'm heading up to Columbus, Ohio tomorrow for a meeting with a writing group I belong to, the regional chapter of Sisters in Crime. I always enjoy these meetings and feel fortunate to belong to such a great group. Plus the weather is supposed to be beautiful so it should be a nice day for a drive. I actually like driving when the weather is nice and I'm not fighting traffic so I'm looking forward to the trip.
I hope everyone had a week filled with lots of things to celebrate, and has a great weekend coming up.
Three-day weekends are always awesome! How exciting about that writing group meeting of yours, too. Hope you have fun! :)
ReplyDeleteYay for three day weekends! :) And I'm happy TWD is back too. What an awesome episode last week. Have fun at your meeting. My local critique group meets tomorrow as well. They'll be ripping apart my UR short story!

ReplyDeleteI'm with you - TWD was amazing! I was on the edge of my seat at the end. Literally! Then I was just in shock. What a great show. Not sure if you watch Talking Dead too, if not, I recommend it. Just as it sounds, they talk about TWD with cast members, producers and fans. Lots of fun.
ReplyDeleteI hope you've enjoyed your 3 day weekend and enjoy the writers group! Have a great week ~Lori~
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Ohio gathering. I'm sure you'll have a great time together.
ReplyDeleteYay for long weekends! I hope you enjoyed your writers' group.
ReplyDeleteI think those are great things to celebrate!!
ReplyDeleteI started watching my backlogged episodes of Walking Dead. I am still on season 5. I have too many series I've been trying to keep up with.
I hope you had a glorious weekend, and enjoyed a terrific meeting. Hanging out with gals of a similar writing mindset must really rev up the excitement level.
ReplyDeleteEven though "Walking Dead" is filmed right here in our area, I've never watched a single episode. What can I say? Zombies don't do much for me. Their bad manners, I could forgive, but I'm not impressed with anything that wants to snatch my brain while I'm still trying to use it.
It took me a while to get used to Andrew Lincoln with an American accent, but Walking Dead is great fun (if that's the right word!).
ReplyDeleteI hope the conference was awesome! We were super stoked for The Walking Dead too. I only started watching because the hubby insisted, but man am I addicted now.
ReplyDeleteNo three day weekend here, but I'm celebrating making past the halfway point in February. I can almost see Spring coming down the road.
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I hate winter.
