A-Z Challenge Blog

I've been meaning to give a shout-out to the new A-Z Challenge blog, and I figured there was no time like the present, as participating in NaBloPoMo has reminded me of the crazy (but fun!) blogging days of April. In addition, I'm thrilled to have another posting day under my belt. Three down! :)

I can say without a doubt that the best thing I have done in my first year of blogging was to sign up for the A-Z in April Challenge, hosted by the wonderful Arlee Bird at Tossing It Out. Thanks to this challenge, I felt like I started to find my place in the blogging world, and by the end of the month I was significantly more comfortable about blogging. Even better, I met the majority of my blogger pals as we all went through the letters of the alphabet together.

I know April, 2012 is a long way off, and if you're like me you're thinking more about the upcoming holiday season than you are about spring time, but I still wanted to post the news that the A-Z Challenge now has its own blog!

Arlee set up the blog to share news and information about the challenge, and to give all the bloggers interested in participating a place to congregate. The challenge was extraordinarily popular last year, and I've no doubt 2012 will be even bigger.

It's never too early to follow the blog and make sure you are up to date on all the challenge goings-on as we close out 2011 and head towards 2012. If you are interested in sharpening your blogging and writing skills, meeting tons of great bloggers, and having a great time being creative, I can't recommend the A-Z Challenge enough.

Go HERE to follow the blog, and help spread the word around the blogosphere. The April flowers will be here again before we know it.

  1. I participated in the A-Z blog challenge last year - lots of fun!

But NaNoBloMo? Hadn't heard of that one. Thanks for the link!

  2. I've seen this around but didn't know much about it. Thanks for the info! I'm going to check out the blog.

  3. That was fun, and I met a lot of people through it. It was exhausting though, but probably only because I was on that jury trial at the time! It did give me a good break from the intensity of that. Looking forward to doing it again - thanks for posting this.

  4. Hi Julie! I'm actually blogging again!! Guess we haven't interacted since shortly after last April's Challenge...nice for you to post this info! I put together quite an A to Z Anthology last year -- good writing fun.

I had never heard of NaBloPoMo (NAtional BLOg POsting MOnth from -- for anyone else who's not aware of it:~) There appears to be an interesting correlation to NaNoWriMo here...hhhmmm:~)

P.S. We now have 3 dogs (before it was only Ginger, our Cocker). We added a 51 lb Aussie-Heeler-Pit (Zephyr the Great, my husband's dog) and an AKC Cocker pup (Brandy Bojangles). I'll be posting pics and telling their stories...soon.

  5. I have done the two A to Z Challenges and if it was not for Arlee I would not have such a successful blog. He has much to answer for am looking forward to the next.

  6. I've never heard of the A-Z blog challenge before. I will have to check it out once November is over.

  7. AtoZ was fun. Made lots of new blogging pals. Not sure whether I'll participate yet or not. Will wait until March to decide. :)

  8. A to Z was a great experience last April, but quite intense! I got to know so many great bloggers, though, so it was worth it.

I hope I'll be able to participate again next year, but with my new job, I suspect I'll be too busy to give it my all.

Have fun with the blogging A to Z! :-)

  9. And just when I was thinking, "never again A to Z" you come along to make me rethink. Hmmm

  10. @Liz, you're welcome, it seems like fun so far.

@ER, it's a great time if you decide to sign up, I loved doing.

@Melissa, oh, I remember your posts about that trial, they were so interesting!

@Kathy, hi, great to see you!! I'm so glad you're back to blogging, I will be over to check out your blog again. I want to meet the two new dogs and catch up with Ginger too, how cute! :)

@Yvonne, I agree, I'm looking forward to it too. Arlee came up with such a great idea with this!

@Jenny, it's fun, I will you would enjoy it if you decide to sign up.

@Mary, yeah, I decided in March the last time, it was totally a last minute thing but it turned out to be a great decision.

@KC, I agree, it was intense, but definitely worth it. I hope your new job is going well so far!

@Giggles, LOL, that was me, too. I wasn't planning to do it again but then when I saw this blog I thought, hmmm... ;)
