In that spirit I wanted to share a few pictures of homeless dogs in Cincinnati who are available for adoption through one of my favorite rescues, Sheltered Paws.
Sheltered Paws works in collaboration with the Cincinnati SPCA to bring shelter dogs into foster homes until they can be adopted. They focus on dogs who, for various reasons, have difficulty adjusting to the shelter environment. The Sheltered Paws volunteers provide loving homes where the dogs can feel more secure, thereby increasing their chances at adoption.
These are just a few of the Sheltered Paws dogs currently waiting for their forever homes. Just click on each dog's name to learn more. (Photos courtesy of Sheltered Paws)

Last but not least, today is release day for Yolanda Renee. Murder, Madness, & Love is now available on Kindle. Huge congratulations to Yolanda! My Kindle will have a new book on it this evening. :)
Hope everyone had a great weekend and has a good week ahead.
They are all cute pups!
ReplyDeleteBeen Tweeting for Lee and Carrie this morning.
And hosting Yolanda today!
Those dogs are so sweet. :) And thank you for the shout-out! I really appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute pups! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDelete~Summer
How sweet! I plan to adopt one once I start graduate school and have to live on my own. I need a friend :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm an idiot because I just realized that you live in Cincinnati and I was there like three weeks ago. I have a TON of family there and one of my aunts lives less than five minutes from downtown. *Smacks forehead*
Those doggy faces are all so sweet. Hope they all find loving homes!
ReplyDeleteAlex, I saw Yolanda over at your site, so happy for her.
ReplyDelete@Carrie, my pleasure!
@Summer, aren't they cute? Love them.
@Samantha, oh, that's funny! Maybe someday we can meet when you are here.
@Johanna, me too, fingers crossed.
I want them all, Julie. How can you not?
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding us of these canines in need and for your wonderful support for Alligators.
@Lee, that's my problem, I want them all too! Congrats again on your spotlight today. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, Julie, so unexpected to come over and see my book mentioned again. Awesome, thank you!
ReplyDeleteI do hope all those lovely animals get lovely homes. So sad that so many don't. Such unconditional love, and so willingly given.
Great W4W post too. You're really in the spirit this Monday!
Thanks again!
Whenever my husband and I see one of those Adopt A Pet events, we steer clear because we know we'd come home with a new friend for the tortoises...and I'm not sure how the torts would feel about that. :)
ReplyDelete@Yolanda, I hope you are enjoying your big day! Congrats again!
ReplyDelete@Madeline, they probably wouldn't be happy LOL.
Oh, man. Don't show me photos of dogs that need adopting! I want to take them all home. I do hope someone comes to adopt. It breaks my heart to see them caged up in shelters or euthanized.
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats to Yolanda. I don't know if I could stand to have that book cover on my lap, but the story sounds good. :)
@LG, you should come here and take these doggies back to Colorado with you. :D
ReplyDeleteI love it that you are working with and care about animals. I hope those sweet dogs get new homes and lots of love for the rest of their lives.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Carrie and Yolanda. Never knew there was a day dedicated to homeless animals, that's great.
ReplyDeleteYay Yolanda!
ReplyDeleteAnd you know I love dog-dogs. I would have a gazillion if I could. I have to settle for my one, drooly rescue mess who I adore.
As soon as I clicked on your post, I realized I didn't know where my dog was--hadn't heard her for a while. I started looking around.
ReplyDeleteShe's lying under my writing desk. LOL
Cute puppies, those. My dog is a rescue dog, too.
Good luck, Carrie, C. Lee, and Yolanda! :D
That's so cool that you posted pictures of the puppies. I hope they all find wonderful homes. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThose dogs really are something special! Hope they find good homes soon. Congrats to Lee, Carrie and Yolanda!
ReplyDeleteJulie
I'm all for adopting homeless pets... that's where my two puddy cats came from:) Great post:) When I get a bigger yard, I want to add a dog and some chickens to that list.
ReplyDeleteMan, I wish I knew about the international homeless animal day back on Saturday. Great post and thanks for tuning me into this event.
ReplyDeleteCute dogs! I hope they find good homes!
ReplyDelete@Inger, I hope so too, there are so many who need homes!
ReplyDelete@Sheena, I just learned about it myself and thought it was such a great idea.
@Julie, I would have a gazillion too but I don't think my dog and cat would be too happy LOL.
@Melissa, aww, it's great that she's your writing buddy. :)
@Jessica, thanks for reading!
@Julie, fingers crossed. :)
@TF, oh, chickens! That would be awesome. I'd love to have a big farm with all kinds of animals. Although I have no idea how to run a farm so it would probably be disastrous LOL.
@Samuel, I know, I was a little late myself! I'm going to mark it down for next year.
Awe they are sweet! I would have adopted Leaper in a heartbeat if he hadn't been on the other side of the world. ;-)
ReplyDelete@Cherie, me too!
ReplyDelete@Misha, aww, I guess that is a little far to go LOL. He is a doll, I agree.
The cats we have now came from the shelter when they were little bitty kittens, and the experience was such a good one, any other pets we ever adopt will come from the same place. The only problem is, when we go there, I want to adopt ALL of the animals. (sigh) No can do.
ReplyDelete@Susan, that's how I am, I really can't visit shelters because I just want to bring all of them home. Plus it makes me sad to see how many animals are there! Both of my pets came from rescues and I know any future pets I get will be too. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the authors!
ReplyDeleteThe dogs are adorable! :) I have a shelter pet- they are the best!
@Rebecca, I agree. :)
ReplyDeleteI want to hug those doggies.
ReplyDeleteDogs are better than cats for saying "Take me home" on photos!! I hope they find theirs, soon x
ReplyDelete@Peaches, me too!
ReplyDelete@Austin, yeah, cats are too dignified to beg. :D
HI, Julie,
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I sell my condo and get a dog friendly place I am DEFINITELY heading to the shelter for a pooch. I want two.
My last dog was a shelter dog and a wonderful companion. I miss him so much. Eleven years we were together. My other baby, died at thirteen. I miss them both terribly and can't wait to be a pet 'dad' again!
Thanks for shouting out about W4WS! And congrats to Yolanda. I've been seeing her all over! We're talking more and more about adopting a dog. My son would love it.
ReplyDeleteCute dogs. I wish we could have one - allergies.
ReplyDeleteI think its fantastic that you are so caring and working to help these adorable pups. I hope they meet and make their way to their lovable homes soon ;)
ReplyDelete@Michael, aww, I can imagine how much you miss your dogs. I had my first pets, two cats, for 12 and 15 years and I was so hard to say goodbye to them. I hope you are able to be a pet daddy again soon! :)
ReplyDelete@Christine, I can imagine your little guy would love a dog, how cute.
@Tonja, oh, that's too bad. I've always been lucky to not have those kinds of allergies.
@SK, me too, fingers crossed. :)
Congrats to Yolanda!
ReplyDeleteI hope all the beautiful puppies find good homes.
Julie, I love dogs. All of our family's dogs have been rescues or strays that hung around. My folks did buy a schnauzer and a Lhasa at one time, but most were "mutts," and from the shelter.
ReplyDeleteMy current two are beautiful boys from rescue. And they're just as good as purebreds.
There should be a dog show for them. Thank you for bringing attention to their plight.

Hi Julie,
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting up something that is dear to me and my human's heart. And homeless animals can indeed provide humans with unconditional, non-judgemental love.
Yay to Carrie and Lee. I have been sharing their stuff. I'm such a good dog.
Wonderful for you to give that nod in regards to our human friend, Yolanda.
Pawsitive and hopeful wishes,
Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar! :)
Congratulations to Carrie and Lee!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice thing of you to help find a good home for those doggies. I hope they find home soon.
@Mary, me too.
ReplyDelete@Michael, that would be a dog show I'd watch. I love mutts. :D
@Penny, hugs to you and Gary both!
@Al, I hope so too, thanks!
