Hello and Happy June!
I'm participating in Michelle Rafter's 2013 WordCount Blogathon, which means I will be posting every day this month. That is the goal, at least! The last time I tried to blog every day of the month I made it through a whopping seven days, but I actually have a plan this time so I'm hopeful that I will make it to at least day eight. :D
One of my goals for the month is to share posts relating to my interest in animals and animal rescue issues. That was something I had in mind when I first started this blog, but I've really strayed from it over the past few years. This summer I plan to start a spin-off blog to highlight rescues in my area, so I am going to get that started here on this blog during the Blogathon.
I'm also looking forward to highlighting the amazing writers who make up Untethered Realms, the writing group I had the pleasure of joining last month. And of course I will be participating in the usual bloghops and helping to spotlight other writers while also sharing a bit more about my novel Polar Night.
So that's my plan for what I hope will be a busy and productive month. But I'm not able to get started just yet, as I will be in the car and driving back from Martha's Vineyard when this post goes live. I'll be back to my regular blog visiting on Monday, June 3 and I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone then!
The Aquinnah beach on the Vineyard - where I wish I still was! :D |
Animals and authors - good combination. (Might even be the same thing sometimes!) You made through April's Challenge, so I bet you can do this one.
ReplyDeleteMy first month long blog was the A-Z in April which I managed, but not ready to do another one just yet! Good luck at completing it :) x

I posted every day in the month of April and am still not recovered LOL
ReplyDeleteWow, a post every day?! I don't think I'd be able to handle that. Good luck with the challenge!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love how you'll be highlighting animal rescues in some of your posts. A spin-off blog for that sounds like an excellent idea!
That will be interesting, Julie!! Two of my favourite things, animals and books/authors!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to hearing from you and please share about your vacation too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the pic - it looks like your vacay must have been wonderful. I wish I was there, too! Have a safe trip home and good luck on the up coming bloghop adventure! :-)

Hello, Julie
ReplyDeleteI'm delighted to hear of your love for animals. We have six dogs (only one non-rescue) and eight cats (all rescue and two of which are quite disabled).
I'm working like mad on getting my first novel finished but will pop in when I can, even if it's only for a minute.
Another animal lover/writer...
Regards
@Alex, thanks, I hope so!
