I'm interviewed by the wonderful Marcy at mainewords today and talking about The Ghosts of Aquinnah, among other things. It was such a fun experience to chat with her, and as soon as I learned that she is a Best Friends Animal Society fan like me I knew we were a good match. Please come and visit with us here!
Also, Milo James Fowler, the mind behind Creepy Freebies, has decided to hold a similar giveaway during the month of December. 'Tis More Blessed will be held every Friday of the month and numerous authors, including yours truly, will be giving away books or ebooks throughout the month. Visit Milo here to learn more about the event.
Finally, I wanted to find a cute vintage Thanksgiving image to share here and wish my American friends a Happy Thanksgiving this week, but when I found this picture I couldn't resist sharing it instead. I wouldn't really call it cute, as the children look more than a little disturbed. The little girl's smile is especially deranged.

Psychotic smiling children aside, the sentiment is still a good one. I hope everyone has lots to be thankful for this year, and I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!
Already visited Marcy this morning and signed up on Milo's site. (I'm being a rebel though - my giveaway is on a Monday.)

Now I'm ready for Ghosts of Aquinnah! Have a great Thanksgiving Julie!

ReplyDeleteAlready signed up for Milo's giveaway!
Have a great Thanksgiving, Julie!
Ha! That's how my kids looked when I baked the pumpkin pies yesterday. It's why I baked 3--so I could sacrifice 1 to keep them from eating the other two. xD

HI, Julie,
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving weekend! I hope you had a WONDERFUL holiday!
I finally resurfaced. Had been a bit under the weather and I am finally feeling more like myself.
I have COFFEE for you.
When you get a chance drop me your address so I can send it to you. You'll love it. Just remember a little goes a long way. For a 12 cup maker use only six rounded teaspoons. (about a half inch mound,)
So wonderful. I opened one of mine and have been drinking it all day. LOL…
Hope you're well. Looking so forward to the FIFTH!
Hi Michael! So good to see you, I'm glad you are feeling better now. I'm so excited about the coffee, thanks!! I will email you, this is so nice of you. Can't wait for the fifth too. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Julie - good luck with Ghosts of Aquinnah .. and then the card - I somewhat agree with your description ... sentiments aside - Happy Thanksgiving .. and enjoy all the promotions going on .. cheers Hilary
