Happy July, everyone! I can't believe we're already halfway through 2013.
I'm excited to be kicking off the month with the news that I've signed a publishing contract for my second novel, The Ghosts of Aquinnah!
I shared the synopsis and manuscript with my awesome publisher and didn't have to wait long before they got back to me with the news that they were interested in adding the book to their titles. The plan is for the book to be published in December so I am thrilled to death that, barring any unforeseen changes, it will be out by the end of the year.
This book means a great deal to me because I have so many ties to the island of Martha's Vineyard where it is set. I am already thinking about how fun it will be to promote the book through a place I love so much.
So even though it's Monday morning I'm breaking out the champagne and celebrating that this story that came about because of this webcam will soon be out in the world.
I can't imagine a better way to start a new week and a new month. :)
Congratulations, Julie!! That's awesome your publisher liked the book. Hopefully you'll get to do a Martha's Vineyard tour.
