Martha's Vineyard Extra Stout was a craft beer brewed on the island at Martha's Vineyard Breweries. Apparently it is now retired and the brewery itself is closed.
I don't even like stout beer and I know nothing about this brew, but we all know how hard it is to find a topic for the dreaded "X" post. So this is it for me. :D
Two more letters to go!
My A-Z of Martha's Vineyard theme is inspired by my book, The Ghosts of Aquinnah, which is set on the island. Click here for all the info on the book.
Not a fan of extra stout beer either.
ReplyDeleteThe X post is the hardest. Congrats for sticking through it.
ReplyDeleteactually I'm a fan. Sorry to hear it's no longer open.
ReplyDeleteThat beer is so dark it looks like cola. I don't like beer at all - so bitter - but I like wine. Why doesn't the "Vineyard" have a winery? O_o
ReplyDeleteNot much of a beer drinker. I like the occasional dark beer at a ball game. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not allowed any beer now never mind Extra Stout.
ReplyDeleteI suspect many of us will bend the rules a bit to finish of 'X',
Yes, Extra Stout tastes bitter, but this picture looks attractive :)
ReplyDeleteX was difficult but you did a great job. Mmmm, beer!!! Although, I'm not sure I'd like one quite so stout either.

Hah! I don't know anything about beer, so I'll totally take your not liking stout beer. Here's to X and all the awkwardness involved!
ReplyDeleteTrue Heroes from A to Z
I don't like any kind of beer, but I know beer lovers who would've liked to try Extra Stout beer. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the X post and it looks like a Guinness and I dislike Guinness:) It has to be an acquired taste
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've tried stout beer...and I'm not going to. lol
ReplyDeleteAnd hey you found an X post someway, somehow...woot! :D
Yeah, I'm not a big stout fan, either, but I DO admire your creativity in finding an X topic for today!!
ReplyDeleteMmm, that beer looks yummmy. I love a soft, foamy head - 'tis better than ice cream.
ReplyDeleteDo you think Guinness and the extra stout could do battle? to find out which is stouter?
ReplyDeleteLived in Ireland; totally a Guinness fan. Even though I do not drink.
I agree on all points. Beer not something I drink, X very hard letter to write with a theme especially.
ReplyDeleteI love the cape and am glad I ran across your post.

I would love some of that!
ReplyDeleteHi Julie,
ReplyDeleteStout beer is like burnt toast soaked in water, evidently. My apologies to all Guinness drinkers!
Gary :)
True. Very true.
ReplyDeleteHugs and chocolate!
I don't know much about beer as I don't drink it :(
ReplyDeleteWell, at least this one likes a nice cold beer with a little sandwich on the terrace when it's hot. (The slice of bread looks delicious and hardy).
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of beer in general, but my hubby enjoys it and would have probably liked that one.

ReplyDeleteWell done for sticking it all the way through....
And I'm with you, stout beer is just not my cup of tea!
Hi Julie - that's a pity the brewery has closed .. it looks like a Guinness .. very rich - something I don't drink very often .. once every decade?! That glass looks good .. I'd better go and get myself a cup of tea!
ReplyDeleteGood X word though .. cheers Hilary
