Day 3: Who Roams Here?

Welcome to day 3 of the 2015 Realms Faire, hosted by M. Pax. This year there are twelve games going on, so there are lots of chances to have fun and win prizes. Be sure to check out all of these great games!

Riddle Me This ~ Dueling Bards ~ Phasers ~ Unicorn Hunt ~ Beware the Vortex ~ VelociRaffle ~ The Hero’s Dilemma ~Stockade Brigade ~ Hall of Doors ~ The Joust ~ Drench-a-Wench/Soak-a-Bloke

Here at the House of The Spirits, I am welcoming a different ghost each day to take over the blog. I will leave clues throughout the day and the first person to guess the ghost's identity in the comments wins a prize. You don't need a google or blogger profile to participate - anonymous users are welcome to guess but please just make sure I can contact you in case you are a winner.

In addition, everyone who leaves a comment before midnight on Saturday 11/14 will be entered in the Grand Prize drawing at the end of the Faire. The Grand Prize will be a $30 Amazon gift card, an ebook bundle of my books Polar Night, The Turnagain Arm, & The Ghosts of Aquinnah, and the Once Upon a Nightmare Collection ebook set by Cherie Reich.

Want to know about today's prize? Today my ghostly guest and I are giving away a $5 Amazon gift card, an ebook of Guardians of Telesma by River Fairchild, and an ebook of my story Polar Night.

Thanks to River for the prize donation!

*ETA: Cherie Reich guessed the ghost - Grady from The Shining. Congratulations, Cherie! And thanks to all for your comments and guesses. I have to say, of all the ghosts who are visiting me this week, Grady is the one who scares me the most. The Shining absolutely terrified me when I saw it! I will add the remaining clue and Grady's picture.

Now, please welcome today's ghost. It's safe to say this ghost isn't a friendly one.

Who am I?

1.       When I was alive I was an alcoholic

2.      I went mad and hacked my wife and daughters to death

3. After I killed my wife and daughters I shot myself in the head

4. I've always been at The Overlook

  3. I don't know who you are and am very glad we are not related. Boo!

  4. I'm going to need more clues to solve this riddle. :)

  5. Yikes! You'd think after all my study of killers this last month that I'd have an answer for that, but I don't. Nope.

  6. I've read about this somewhere...
It's definitely an author, but I have NO IDEA which one?!

  7. Sounds like a very nasty so-and-so. Unfortunately, I can't come up with said so-and-so's name.

  8. Ha! With the first clue I thought of Jack from The Shining but he tried to kill his wife and son. I have no clue who this author is...is using Google cheating? :p

Just added a new clue. :)

  13. Hmm, I'd guess the shining guy but I don't think he was a ghost. Awesome game, Julie!

  14. Hi Julie - I have no idea ... especially as I haven't seen the Shining - but your ghost has everyone bamboozled ... for that congratulations .. cheers Hilary

  15. Ooo, I know now. It's Delbert Grady from Stephen King's The Shining!

  16. You're right, Cherie!! Will send your prizes ASAP. :)

  17. No idea. That's one gruesome character, though!

  18. I'm too late, but I also felt it was a ghost from The Shining!!!

  19. I loved the shining, and still wouldn't have guessed correctly. Little details like that I forget almost as soon as I learn them. LOL He's a horrid person/ghost wouldn't give him space in my brain. Silly me!

    Congratulations Cherie!

  20. I have racked my brain most of the day, and I thought I was pretty close, only to find out I was wrong. No guess today, but I'm still working on it, and if I come up with the right answer, i will let you know.
