"Don't
watch the CLOCK; do what it does. Keep going." ~ Sam
Levenson
When I was putting together this post for dare I couldn't resist sharing these lines from one of my favorite movies, A Christmas Story. My family and I can basically quote this entire movie and I love watching it every Christmas.
But since my theme is supposed to be favorite quotes I'm going with a different one for dare, regardless of how much I love Ralphie.
“I believe the most important single thing, beyond discipline and creativity is daring to DARE” ~ Maya Angelou
This quote inspired me when I first started on this writing journey that has come to mean so much to me. Lots of amazing things happened when I dared to dare that I could do it.
I doubled up today because I will be at the Authors Fair in Madison, Indiana tomorrow and won't be able to blog. I'm really excited to be part of the event as close to 100 authors will be participating, including my book fest buddy Tara Tyler.
Hope everyone has a great weekend and, to those who celebrate, a Happy Easter!
Great quotes! I love A Christmas Story, too :)

ReplyDeleteMaya Angelou was an amazing lady!
Christmas Story is a classic!
ReplyDeleteLove those quotes! And I hate to admit it, but last Christmas was the first Christmas I'd seen A Christmas Story. I enjoyed the movie and can see why people watch it every year at Christmas.
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the Authors Fair!

Maya Angelou was so spot on in her writing.
ReplyDeleteWe also have Christmas Story pretty much memorized. Christmas is really there until we watch this movie.
That is true. We have to be daring--especially in writing!
ReplyDeleteI love that quote from Maya Angelou. She was a lady of great insight.

Love Maya Angelou's quote. It's so true. Those of us who dare to think that we can dare to do something usually are the people who accomplish what we set out to do. :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a good time at the fair!
But what is the clock stop? Or start going backwards?
ReplyDeleteHappy AtoZ!
Daring to dare - great quote!
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the Authors Fair!

ReplyDeleteI'm not doing A-Z this year but I wanted to stop by and give you encouragement. Keep posting - only 22 letters left to go!
