Q is for Questions

"For true success ask yourself these four QUESTIONS: Why? Why not? Why not me? Why not now?" ~
James Allen

I love this because I have a bad habit of telling myself "I can't" or "not now." Whenever I tell myself those things I need to remember to then ask "Why not?" There's usually not a good answer to that question.

And I couldn't resist this picture to go along with the quote because I love when dogs cock their heads and give us this kind of quizzical expression. When Clancy does it I get the impression he thinks I've finally gone off the deep end. :D

  1. I love these questions too. Especially the question, why not me? That's my favorite.

  2. These questions have been ruling my thoughts the last several days. I've got a big decision to make and my fear keeps getting in the way. Damn those stupid inner voices of doubt! Why not me?! should be every writer's mantra. :)

  3. Alex is wrong. Clancy's question is 'Why not now?'

  4. Great quote! One of my cats cocks his head to the side and stares at me like that...as if I'm so confusing to him. Haha.

  8. I like asking myself why not. Or actually, answering 'why not' when people asked me why I do things.

  9. 'Why not?' is a great question to ask yourself. I ask it all the time in my writing life, but not in my every day life. Maybe I should start!

  10. Four questions I realize as I'm reading them I prefer to avoid. So, maybe, it's time to stop to doing that. I'm glad I stopped by today. :-)

  11. I never thought of these 4 questions-what a great motivator! The dog is priceless and they do sure give you the look when they do this:)

  12. Those are the questions, alright. And, oh, my, best accompanying photo ever! Dogs do quizzical like no other species. :)

  13. They can be so expressive. They know how to win our hearts :)

  14. Those are good questions to ask; like you said, usually there isn't a good reason why we choose not to do something.

  15. These are excellent questions. Why not is just a way to adjust your frame of reference. Someone will and it might as well be you.

  16. I'm one for talking myself out of something, too. I'm going to have to ask myself these questions next time.
