"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the HEART." ~ Helen Keller
After I decided to use the Helen Keller quote for today's post I came upon this quote that fit so well with the idea that I had to use it too. Nothing wrong with two quotes, right? :)
"And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the HEART that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” ~ Antoine de Saint-ExupĂ©ry, The Little Prince
I don't have anything to add, except that when I was younger I'm not sure I would have agreed with or understood these quotes. Now I see the wisdom of both.
They are both very true.
ReplyDeleteYes... just yes, today :-)
ReplyDeleteNailed it! Perfect post today!
ReplyDeleteThe more quotes the better! Both are awesome.
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely quotes! :)
ReplyDeleteI love that quote from The Little Prince. It's one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting how our perspective changes, the older we get.
ReplyDeleteYup. Those quotes pretty much say it all.
ReplyDeleteHi Julie .. I love the heart quotes and our hearts do speak to us .. and that image is wonderful .. cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteThis is just my personal bias, but I think that's why we make better writers as we get older and have a little experience to base our characters on.
ReplyDeleteHow beautifully true.
ReplyDeleteI love the Keller quote and it is so true.
ReplyDeleteStrange what seems strange when a kid, but suddenly becomes very wise when an adult.
ReplyDeleteGreat quotes - and I agree with them!
ReplyDeleteThese are both wonderful quotes that really ring true. My mom told me that Helen Keller was a guest speaker at her high school. It was a truly unforgettable experience.
ReplyDeleteJulie
Yeah, I definitely GET IT more now than I would have when I was younger.
